Inox Market Service is a company operating in the steel processing sector, with a particular specialisation in the cutting and processing of stainless steel sheets and strips. For its headquarters in San Vito al Tagliamento, in the province of Pordenone, Inox chose SICE for the construction of a photovoltaic system to reduce energy consumption.
SICE designed and installed a grid-connected photovoltaic system. This type of solution is able to generate energy to power the plant and also transfer it to the national grid when production exceeds the plant’s needs.
The photovoltaic system was placed on the roof of the company’s industrial hall over a total area of 3120 square metres. 1600 LONGi crystalline silicon photovoltaic modules of 410 Wp each were used. This material guarantees a higher yield and it is characterised by a higher power density, considering the power that can be obtained from the available surface area. The project was completed with the adaptation of the mt/bt electrical cabin in order to have an optimal calibration of the general protection device and to avoid the risk of serious production stoppages.
The estimated annual production of the plant is 695,923 kWh. Thanks to this implementation, Inox Market Service will be able to save energy and avoid releasing 362,92 tonnes of CO2. Reducing energy consumption will trigger a virtuous circle of reduced emissions and overall efficiency in production processes.
