WEGA, a leading company in professional coffee machines, will make production more sustainable, efficient and safe thanks to solutions designed and implemented by SICE Impianti. Our company was chosen to carry out all the plant engineering works that will accompany the expansion of the headquarters.

The project, managed as general contractor by the construction company Lovisotto Giancarlo, involves the expansion of the WEGA plant in Susegana, in Treviso, with the addition of a covered production area of 8,000 square metres and the construction of a new automated warehouse to manage stocks and products awaiting shipment.

SICE is in charge of the executive design and implementation of the electrical, mechanical, fire-fighting, plumbing and related systems. The fire-fighting system is important, because it must guarantee the safety of workers and the protection of the coffee machines stored in the warehouse. The solution adopted consists of smoke detectors, a control centre capable of activating the alarm procedure and an automatic extinguishing system.

In addition, a photovoltaic system consisting of 655 high-efficiency LONGI HI.MO5 monocrystalline silicon modules of 435 Wp for a total output of 284.925 kWp will be installed. The welding technology used in these new generation panels avoids hidden cracks and increases power and efficiency. The installation will be able to produce over 340,000kWh of energy per year. Once in operation, it will allow WEGA to cover part of the energy needs to power the production plant and offices, reducing electricity expenses. Thanks to this installation, approximately 180,000 kg of CO2 will also not be released into the atmosphere.
